Before semester kicks off and the fun begins, here are a few papers (with data) I use for various in-class examples in my Department of Statistics, University of Auckland #postgrad #biostats course. Feel free to add examples and/or resources. 🧵1/n

And so the pumpkin battle begins. First one came in at 6.9kg and I've only managed to use 400g of it in a pumpkin pie. Department of Statistics, University of Auckland colleagues have a lot more pumpkin laden baking to come 🎃

What an absolute mare of a morning. Glad no one is hurt; SH1 🚚🔥 meant I couldn't even dream of getting to the train and into uni. Students were absolute legends and pivoted online at the drop of a hat. This means I owe them chocolate I think! 🤞 for in-person lecture tomorrow.

Quite the homegrown haul today. A pumpkin over 7kg and a decent sized bag of oyster mushrooms.

Came armed with NZ treats to speak self-exciting point process in ecology to the spatial stats group at Glasgow. Obviously my talk was too interesting for them to be eaten... It's not that the pineapple lumps put anyone off...

Surely CREEM_cake won't turn down my offerings of NZ treats? Glasgow weren't convinced by the Pineapple Lumps but maybe the Jet Planes will win St Andrews over?
