According to a new national survey, 80% of PCPs are not confident they can recognize & diagnose vascular conditions. And, when asked to identify symptoms of common vascular diseases, only 6% were able to do so correctly. Read our press release for more: vascular.org/news-advocacy/…

New in Journal of Vascular Surgery: bit.ly/3SZToTb Switching to a “Surgeon of the Week” model for acute care vascular surgery cut inpatient pre-op LOS by 1 day without increasing weekend/overnight ops or hurting productivity. Efficient, focused care = better outcomes. #VAM25 #Simulpub

From first hand experience - such a fabulous model for patient continuity, trainee burden, and surgeon efficiency. 10/10 recommend but it does take a special group of attendings with trust and collegiality to be successful.

👋 Meet Dr. Daniel Lehane, one of our new interns from Yonkers, NY & Rochester med grad. Drawn to complex aortic surgery, he chose our program for its volume & leadership. Go-to coffee: iced black. OR vibe? Whatever the team wants. #WashUSurgery #VascularSurgery #MeetTheIntern
