Rules tell students what not to do, which is important. But, procedures, routines, expectations, and responsibilities teach students what to do, which is even more important!

Teachers, your students may not remember everything about your class, but they will remember that you cared, showed grace, made them feel valued, and encouraged them to give/ become their best. They will remember that and you forever.

Just because some teachers would rather stay in the classroom than go into administration doesn’t mean they aren’t leaders. In fact as a leader, seek their input and feedback if you want to build a highly effective school culture.
