Port Harcourt: oil capital of Nigeria. Nigeria: wealthiest nation on the continent. 2050: Nigeria is the world's 3rd most populous nation; 212 million more city-dwellers - 80% in communities like the ones just bulldozed. This is a struggle for the future of the city.

Slum clearance is slum creation. Surely this is obvious? Tens of thousands of people who live and work in this city, contributing their skills and services, are scrambling to find somewhere to sleep tonight. When they find shelter, will the governor send the bulldozers again?
