Phragmosis in Colobopsis nipponica #ヒラズオオアリ #Myrmecology

Bajcaridris theryi, endemic ant of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Maybe one of the first pictures of living specimens online..? Notes: These ants seemed to be collecting pollens in their maxilla+labium. Individual exiting nests had clear decrease in pollen but no other evidence.
