Justice for Mano Yogalingam. You & your govt could have prevented the loss of Mano to grief & trauma ⁦Tony Burke⁩. Mano, along w/ his family & Tamil community, needed a permanent visa. He needed the threat of deportation to torture removed. You could have provided safety.

The deportation laws passed by the govt on Thursday are cruel & shocking. Thousands of people with children born in this country will spend the Christmas break in fear of what could happen next. Our struggles are connected. Be ready for anti-deport actions! They will be needed!

Dutton is a racist who has built his political career on racism, Islamophobia, fear-mongering & division. It’s appalling that any politician, particularly one seeking to be PM, would float this inflammatory idea any time, let alone in the current climate. Shameful & hypocritical.

Australia’s humanitarian intake is too low and the visa processing is too slow. This is a painful and avoidable situation. sbs.com.au/news/article/a…

Utterly appalling. Shame on Julian Hill MP. This is how the Albanese government treats Palestinian women. Glad to hear she has now been released from detention. She should never have been detained in the first place.

Permanent visas now! Tamil people, who sought asylum from persecution, and now living in Australia for over a decade, have been left in limbo on insecure temporary visas by successive governments. It’s hugely stressful and adds to the trauma people have already endured.

It wasn’t a “clash”. It was an attack, a hate crime, a race riot; Nazis bashing First Nations people, migrants, people of colour, queer people, women. It was enabled by politicians, media, police and Zionist groups who have fanned the flames of hate that fuels fascism.

The US private operator running Australia's prison camps in Nauru is accused of fraud in Texas. Now we find out Anthony Albanese govt will pay them $790m to hold 100 people in a quiet expansion of contract. Who thinks its time to end the deal & shut the prison? theguardian.com/world/2025/sep…
