Sampling and preparation of the corals are done for the new artificial upwelling of my postdoc projet at BIOS | Arizona State University with Dr. Yvonne Sawall. We will start simulating different artificial upwelling scenarios in a week in the beautiful Bermudian Marine Mesocosm facility.

It has been a great 2 days of symposium at Arizona State University to talk about the next steps of the School of Ocean Futures. I was also able to present very early results of the #artificialupwelling project on Bermudian #corals at BIOS | Arizona State University 🪸

Do you want to know more about the response of Mediterranean #corals to #oceanwarming and #marineheatwaves? Read our new paper on The Royal Society doi.org/10.1098/rsos.2 and see how +3.2°C induces bleaching and necrosis and which are the recovery strategies of the two coral species
