The row of damaged bollards needed to be removed. They were incongruous, untidy and duplicated the newer set. The area is not appropriate for parking and measures need to be put in place to ensure any vehicular use is for drop off only - the area already serving that purpose.

Cllr Steve Allen Cheers But were they damaged or incongruous because I’d never noticed any damage tbh Is it the case that the old set were actually in the most appropriate position to limit the illegal parking & now with their removal it’s highlighting the new set should have replaced them

Let's stop the parking 👍 The new positioning allows better drop off space and resolves the road blocking issues for vehicles turning out of Cross Street, but clearly the inappropriate parking needs to be resolved.

Stayed in the chamber to make my point, that being : Cllrfitzgerald and his administration initiated the spirit of cooperation with opposition parties putting in place the FSWG to allow all voices to be heard. To have debate shut down by any member is an ominous development.
