Big shout out to the Station staff at Manchester Oxford Road Railway station for keeping hold of my shopping I left in the waiting room last night. Was a bit delirious after a long shift at work! NORTHERN 🚆

Another new shop opened by the co-op in Stockport and four years and counting of asking them to refurb their Edgeley store. Giving up now. Co-op co-operative.coop/media/news-rel…

We aren't passing a Local Plan in Stockport without government intervention. Let's see if this ages well. I'm sure Nostradamus wrote it down somewhere. manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-m…

Before we pop open the champagne we made another list in recent weeks. One of the most unaffordable places to live in the UK. 33 percent of people's incomes on average go to housing costs on par with tourist towns like Cambridge and York. We shouldn't be anywhere near this list.

From the same people that brought you endless self checkouts as far as the eye can see to save labour costs and increase profits over the last 15 years. British capitalism at its finest.

Stockport railway station underpass should never have been closed to thoroughfare. Tried in Nottingham this year & withdrawn after a trial. Sheffield won't be entertained. Should never have been allowed to happen, all happened before my time living here. nottinghampost.com/news/nottingha…

After a break we're on to motions. First up, the Edgeley Community Association propose a review of grit bin locations. They call for a 'common sense' approach to choosing where they are placed around the borough. Lib Dems & Labour both agree to support the motion, so it will pass

We wanted to give a quick update on the walking, cycling, and driving conditions this morning. After yesterday’s forecast, we started gritting the high-level routes from lunchtime and followed up with snow gritting on all priority routes after 7pm.
