The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.

The Union flag is flying at half mast at County Hall in Matlock and the building has been lit up purple in honour of Her Majesty The Queen.
