The church needs both peacemakers and prophets. I've found the best prophets are those whose aim is peacemaking. Their tone is tough and tender, their posture is courageous and compassionate, and their message is truthful and gracious. Lord, raise up more peacemaking prophets.

Heavy screen use might create a vicious cycle for young kids. New data: the more time 3.5-year-olds spent on tablets, the more angry outbursts they had at age 4.5... and the more they used tablets at 5.5. Digital soothing is not a substitute for teaching emotion regulation.

Religious attendance is actually *increasing* among men. Weekly attendance is the lowest among men born in the 1970s (~22%). Among college aged men, ~26% attend weekly. For women born between 1980 and 2000, there's been basically no change in frequency of attendance.

Fascinating. They observed that Christianity’s impact on OSU players is that faith fosters selflessness and strengthens their relationships with one another. This aligns perfectly with what the Christian tradition has emphasized for 2,000 years.

When you’re a friend of the groom, you know two things: 1. It’s not your wedding. 2. She’s not your wife. Powerful word for ministry leaders from Dr. Maurice Watson, reflecting on John 3:29–30. 🔥
