The #PetersbergClimateDialogue is a space to lay the groundwork for #COP28 (& the Global Stocktake) outcomes that allow us to course-correct - in our existing & new NDCs + the national action and international cooperation we take this decade

This needs to be the year we embrace the opportunities for new national action & international cooperation to advance prosperity & resilience, while halving CO2 emissions by 2030

At #COP28 we need to create the enabling conditions for transformations across sectors - for creating new jobs and training the workforce and technicians, all while better tackling the impacts we‘re already facing.

As a first step - Yesterday, Steven Guilbeault & I co-convened a group of contributors to consider the $100 billion collective mobilization goal, in the context of meaningful mitigation actions and transparency on implementation.
