Excited to be part of this soil fertility research! Thanks to @AlanFranzluebbers for leading work showing how conservation practices improve soil health in the Southeast. In this podcast, I’m sharing my SC experience to reduce fertilizer inputs without scarifying crop yields. Clemson CAFLS Clemson University Natural Resources Conservation Service USDA-NRCS Georgia NRCS-South Carolina

Evidence of how wet our spring has been in Starkville. Our tissue sampling study (funded by Mississippi Corn Promotion Board) is my favorite study to get pictures of. Visually, you can only see differences between 300 and everything else. Most N was lost since application due to rain.

Proud advisor moment- My PhD student Karamvir Kaur presented her research at 2 field days, engaging farm partners, and handling all their questions while I couldn’t be there. Lot of hard work, revisions, and self-confidence is making her independent researcher ❤️Simranpreet Kaur

Congratulations, Dr. Shikha Dubey! 🎉 A 4.5 years of dedicated work! Your research in soil science and memories of hand picking cotton will always be special. Wishing you all the best for next chapters of your career. Well deserved! 👌Clemson Extension Clemson CAFLS

Proudly wearing Clemson orange turban while presenting our cotton nitrogen results at yesterday’s field day in Blackville, SC! Shared findings from Shikha Dubey’s PhD research about saving 50-80% on some fields by cutting fertilizer costs while maintaining yields.
