Awful news today as we learned of the sudden passing of Simon Waltman. Simon anchored the Sobieski Skis pitching staff for over a decade, winning at least 100 games. Simon was a teacher & Head Wrestling Coach at Little Falls. Simon leaves behind his wife Kim and 2 young children.

We’ll be remembering “Walt” this weekend in Pierz at the Region 8C Tournament. Also, from this year going forward, my end-of-tournament All Tournament Team will now also include the “Simon Waltman Award” given to the Tournament’s Outstanding Pitcher.
