Great news for #compost in MD! Frederick City is at the end of a 3-year pilot program for curbside food scrap #composting, & it's been a great success. Last, night, the Frederick City Council voted to make the program permanent for every household in the City! #ZeroWaste

The Trump Administration has released their proposed budget for 2026, and it's a direct attack on clean water. They want to cut over $2.4 b from State Revolving Funds (which help communities replace lead pipes & fix failing sewers) and gut programs to hold polluters accountable.

The Trump administration is rescinding vital protections that keep harmful pollutants out of the air we breathe. Another gift to the fossil fuel industry at expense of the public health. Another betrayal of the American people. Shameful. cnn.com/2025/06/11/cli…

Most pyrolysis oil from “chemical recycling” isn’t made into plastic — it’s just burned. “Often it’s burned because it’s no good for anything else,” said chemical engineer Andrew Rollinson. grist #Greenwashing buff.ly/QNcAtvZ
