🏫 We are really pleased to have the support of Shipley CE Primary School school. Gavin Hamilton, Headteacher: “We support the work BSTA and Born in Bradford are doing to raise awareness of the dangers of air pollution. ...with over a third of childhood asthma cases due to air pollution.” 👍

Great video explaining the reality of #AirPollution in #Bradford, the #health impacts of it, the logical reasons behind the #CleanAirZone (#CAZ) and how more #ActiveTravel is the best solution. youtu.be/a6QatQGXcFQ Shahid Islam Prof Rosie McEachan 🇪🇺 Born in Bradford Bradford4better

🌬 The #Bradford Clean Air Zone goes live today. The CAZ should reduce air pollution to within legal limits and will help reduce the harm that Bradford's polluted air causes. x.com/cleanairbfd/st… 🧵1/

📣 Don't forget it's our 'Stepping off the Road to Nowhere' event this week. 🚘 We welcome David Milner, Deputy Director of createstreets and author of Computer says road to give a talk about traffic forecasts and their bias towards roads and cars.

Are you free on Wednesday, 11-4? We are moving out of Hall Ings and need your help - we will be stripping remaining bikes for parts, sorting usable from scrap. Our mechanics will be there to advise, we'll pay transport costs and feed you. You in?

Inspiring talk from David Milner from createstreets last night. David addressed the failures of traffic models to accurately predict traffic volumes. The result being new roads leading to even more cars choking our towns and cities 🚘 Lots of ideas to help our campaign too!

Saw this on a gate in BD5. Looks like the next generation are embracing the environmental messages . It reminded me of that Cherokee saying: "We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors but we instead borrow it from our children" #CleanAir #pollution

We are really pleased to hear that this road widening scheme has been ditched. We had serious concerns about the likely increase in #AirPollution as a result - especially as the road was due to be widened right outside a Primary School. Well done Bradford-Shipley Travel Alliance 👏

New plans due for the 'Bradford - Shipley Route Improvement Scheme'. Previous plan involved widening roads which would have increased traffic and worsened air pollution. That plan was scrapped so we are keen to see whether the new plan will be more positive for air quality.
