At #egu2023 tomorrow Claudia Bertoni is involved in this talk led by Wei-Li Hong in session HS8.2.6 at 14.25pm. They will showcase the EU-funded COST Action CA21112 'OFF-SOURCE, - Offshore Freshened Groundwater (OFG): An unconventional water resource in coastal regions?

Claudia Bertoni is involved in two poster presentations tomorrow (thursday) at #egu2023. The first in Hall X3, poster board X3.39. at 08:30-10:15 and the second in Hall X2 at 16:15–18:00.

Reinterpretation of seismic reflection profiles crossing the Latakia Ridge in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea allowed the reconstruction of the geometry of the main active faults. Crucial for the reassessment of seismic and tsunami hazards in the eastern sector of the Cyprus Arc.

This next study demonstrates that a combination of geological and oceanographic factors limits the theoretical stability field of methane hydrates in the water column and in the subsurface of the Medi­terranean Sea.

It has been a real pleasure to contribute to this program, and hope to see these deep groundwater prospects being sustainably used in the next phase. Fingers crossed!
