I was fortunate to meet Peter Higgs in 2013 (days after the Nobel prize announcement). He was modest as he told a group of PhD students the history of the boson theory. Afterwards, I was very lucky to get my copy of the New York Times with the discovery signed by him.

“Besides his outstanding contributions to particle physics, Peter was a very special person, an immensely inspiring figure for physicists across the world, a man of rare modesty, a great teacher and someone who explained physics in a very simple and yet profound way. (1/2)

Excited to have a colloquium on the impact / value / importance / role of science communication today at National Institute for Subatomic Physics Nikhef by Dr Clara Nellist. Very important to have more scientists aware and no one in the institute better equipped to explain this than Clara indico.nikhef.nl/event/5204/

What the heck is a glueball? I'm no particle physicist so I found one to help me understand the latest glueball research! Have we found a new particle? Clara Nellist helps us understand what's going on in the world of particle physics!
