25 yrs ago, Austrian hay-milk farmers were laughed at for being "old-fashioned." Today, with a 17c/L premium, they "laugh at others for having no hay." It was a true pleasure to visit the beautiful farm of Dot & Terry Daynard (former crop science professor University of Guelph), where we glimpsed inside their elegant vintage barn & 4.5ft wide 'corn crib' that holds about 5,000 bushels (used 1972-1995).
