Today the sun is shining, it is a beautiful autumnal day. Today I should be out enjoying the break in the rain, but I’m tired. Day 2 of the holiday, HT report done but so much still to do. Balance isn’t there yet… thankful for a 2 week holiday which gives me hope!

2 days of work whilst child 1 rested from being poorly, finally headed down to see my parents and got to enjoy some beautiful autumnal weather yesterday. Child 2 loves hot chocolate - photo just incase of any doubt 😂

Trying to get ahead so the next half term stress doesn’t overwhelm… I’ve bought and wrapped 80-90% of Christmas presents and feeling far too smug. My bank balance less so… but still!

Spent a whole day working in school today but felt so good to get on top of so much! Feel so much better prepared for next half term and that is what my mental health needed!

Turning point in parenting… didn’t mention clock change and actually all got a bonus hour sleep! Winning at life

Other highlight of today - my daughter has listened to audio books of all the Narnia series. Today we watched the lion the witch and the wardrobe- but it can only ever be the origin BBC version. We both loved it!
