Today I submitted my first appeal of a prior authorization denial for Hep C re-treatment and I felt the rage of a thousand Dr. Glaucomflecken’s powering me. Added an extra bitchy “I await your expeditious reply” which felt nice.

Had my first rapid start same day HIV diagnosis and treatment initiation in clinic today and it was very reaffirming that I’m where I need to be. Actual patient care is anti-burnout, all the systemic stuff that gets in the way is the problem.

Headed home from my first #CROI. Best part (aside from the swag) was nerding-out with friends and mentors, especially @DrBarbaraTaylor who set me on the path to HIV medicine in Charm City.
