❄️ City of Eugene Parks Closed Effective Immediately ❄️ Due to worsening weather conditions, Parks and Open Space has announced the immediate closure of all City of Eugene parks. Lane County Gov has also announced the closure of county parks in the Willamette Valley.

Community members should check in all directions before going outside; check the ground for ice, look above for possible danger from trees and power lines, and assess surroundings for anything that may have become unstable during the ice event.

Eugene has lifted the Snow/Ice Emergency parking ban for priority streets as snow and ice on roadways have been significantly reduced. This means community members can again park on the streets designated on the priority map and that towing is less likely.

Crews will continue to address accumulated snow and ice across the city, expanding to shared-use paths along the riverfront and Amazon Parkway. As time and equipment allows, they are scouting and clearing highly used bike lanes in the downtown and university areas.

A reminder: Please do not put tree debris from private property in the public right of way (streets, medians, bike lanes, sidewalks, parks and trails). Not only will private debris not be picked up, it prevents crews from being able to recover from the storm and do leaf pickup.

All City of Eugene office phone lines are currently not working due to a regional outage with the phone service Lumen (formerly CenturyLink). We will provide an update when City phone lines are restored. There is no impact to 911. If you have an emergency, you can call 911.
