Feels like a really an important match today. 3pts keeps the show on the road and puts us in a decent position going into some big matches.

Akanji didn’t look like he could sprint on Tuesday, presume he’s got a problem. Lewis inverting from left back probably the most likely set up. We roll the dice again with Kovacic / Gundogan 🙏

We’re going to need to put the upcoming performance into context. Players not available / not in the starting 11: Ake, Akanji, Dias, Stones, Rodri, Bernardo, De Bruyne, Doku, Grealish and Bobb.

Pretty good all things considered. Brighton gaining a lot of control via their press towards the end of the half. But a decent showing so far. JSP doing well

Always felt like we needed a second. It’s just where we are at the moment. Susceptible to suffering spells of pressure and not able to adequately deal with them. Tough fixtures after the break, here’s hoping we can find some solutions

I fear it will have to be a lower title points total for us to be involved at the end this season. Levels will improve when some fitness issues sort themselves out but it feels like we’ll still be significantly worse than where we have been in recent seasons

This is such an instructive screenshot to explain City's issues rn: high line, no ball pressure, open passing lanes, controlling very little space in any real sense
