Thanks everyone for joining IRL and virtually. This is a new endeavor with a rather diff. style of seminar to build an ecosystem that foster active exchange of ideas. Next one is Joanna Chustecki from @AChristensenPhD lab, 8May noon E228. MitoDNA.

Delighted to share the last study of the lab led by the fantastic postdoc Luis Carlos Tábara Rodríguez out in Cell !!! We show how MTFP1 controls mitochondrial fusion to regulate inner membrane quality control and maintain mtDNA levels. MRC MBU Cambridge University authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S00…

Early roll call for the Imposter syndrome workshop at #plantbiology2024 from Rebecca Roston , Azam Noori and Georg Jander. Solid advice with practical steps particularly for us #ECRS

Woo! Katie Jeynes-Cupper here at #plantbiology2024 talking about her mobileRNA #R package- to help discriminate RNAs from different species - you can find the code up on Bioconductor! Also at poster #900-33

Thank you MaurinoLab for hosting the plant mito crowd⚡️🌱Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn DFG public | @[email protected] Fabulous mito biology with friends 🧬 & a true highlight workshop by Martin Lercher on The Night Science Podcast 💡

A little late to the announcement but I’ve joined the Plant Energy Biology Lab for a short stay thanks to the Universität Münster WiRe Fellowship! Here’s to a brief but bright few months!👩🏻🔬🌱

Our review is now fully published and #OpenAccess in Annual Reviews - with the SI appendix discussing labels, molecular sensors, and #quantification strategies for #mitochondria architecture and #dynamics! 🔬

Great pleasure to host Dr. Shin-ichi Arimura 有村慎一 Shin-ichi Arimura yesterday. His seminar on plant organellar genome editing was well attended. He was impressed to learn that we have a strong group of scientists working on plant and mammalian mitochondria here at UNL.Nebraska Biochem UNL PSI
