(1) TLDR on Restaurant Reopening (focusing on SF) County is color coded based on (a) new cases per 100,000 and (b) positivity case. For Restaurants: Purple - Only Outdoor Red - Indoor at 25% capacity Orange - Indoor at 50% capacity Yellow - Indoor at 50% capacity

(2) Color Codes focusing on resturants and bars. Note that bars with food is classed as restaurants... but what about if we have food brought in?

(3) What deterimines what color?... new case and testing % positivity. ** As of 8/31/2020, SF and Napa starts off in Red. All other Bay Area county is in Purple

(4) SF new cases, 7 day average: data.sfgov.org/stories/s/epem… (fwiw: it's surprising that SF is in Red. Reading the SF county data, we should still be in Purple... we are at 8.6/100,000 as of last week). But I'll take it!

(5) This means that we're going to be RED for a while. We need new cases to go down by 50% before we get to Orange. The last time we were in Orange territory was in May, after the initial SIP. Headline number to track: SF new cases daily average (we want less than 32)

(6) The other indicator is Testing % positivity. SF has been really low. We have been below 4.9% (i.e. Orange) since end of April: data.sfgov.org/stories/s/d96w…

Sitting here at Atelier Crenn in the replanning meeting - again - to address the indoor ban... Just after we started rehiring and now we have to say good bye. London Breed I humbly for a waiver system so that some of us can reopen and keep these precious jobs.

Within 3 days, I thoroughly expect SF and Mayor London Breed to announce ban of outdoor dining in SF with no immediate cash assistance. Asking for some friends... can you at least allow us to have Saturday night service?

When SF and London Breed announce the closure of restaurants ahead of the state guidelines, I hope the city will help pay for severance for staff who's going to be let go. #whereisthehelp
