As part of a team of Dallas Morning News reporters who have fanned out across Texas covering the eclipse, I drew the plum assignment of reporting live from Buc-Ee’s today. That Buc-Ee’s pitmaster Randy Pauly and chief meat cutter extraordinaire Ginette Cortez mugging for the camera.
Our statehouse reporter Aarón Torres will be watching the eclipse from Eagle Pass today. Eagle Pass is one of the first cities in the U.S. that will experience the eclipse.
The eclipse here will begin at 12:10 p.m., with totality happening around 1:27 p.m. #Eclipse2024
