I know this was a very small town, but this situation required a social worker to be present. allowing her to touch her daughter and not having anyone to help de-escalate or provide some therapeutic assistance to the kid and the dad, did not make sense.

it’s very sad realizing someone you consider a close friend possibly doesn’t hold you to the same regard. learn your place in people’s lives and stop overplaying your part.
