UPDATE: UNHCR database shows that 3,403 Burundians sought refuge in Rwanda last year alone. Among them, 1,251 registered as refugees, 32 are asylum seekers, and the remaining 2,120 individuals are listed as “people of concern”. Total Burundians now are 49,597 as of December.

UPDATE: In Washington, Rwanda and DR Congo sign peace deal requiring "completion of neutralization of the FDLR and lifting of Rwanda’s defensive measures: NO LATER THAN D+90" (three months). Both actions will be implemented concurrently. The count begins immediately.
