The Africa Health Budget Network Organized a 3 day Zero-Dose Learning Hub Peer Learning retreat strategically to reflect on what works well, what doesn't and what needs to be done from four project implementing states of Kano, Bauchi, Borno and Sokoto.



The Africa Health Budget Network , a consortium member with the AFENETAfrica has convened a three-day Peer Learning and Exchange Retreat under the Zero Dose Learning Hub (ZDLH) initiative in Abuja, Nigeria. The project is implemented in Nigeria with funding support from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.


During the retreat, Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba , Coordinator of Africa Health Budget Network, urged State Team Leads and CoP members to intensify their efforts to close immunization gaps through targeted advocacy, strategic stakeholder engagement, and strong partnerships.

Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba commended the Borno State Government, Ministry of Health, the Borno State Primary Healthcare Development Board for the approval of a council memo authorizing the release of โฆ234,675,594.98 as Borno Stateโs 2025 contribution to the PHC-MoU Basket Fund.

The Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA) has conferred an ambassadorial title on Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba Chair Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation , in recognition of his outstanding contributions to improving healthcare access for vulnerable populations in Kano State.


Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation had earlier made a partial payment of N1.2 million, covering the enrollment costs for 100 vulnerable individuals into the KSCHMA healthcare scheme as a first phase of the intervention. AMG has pledged to enroll 200 vulnerable individuals in June this year.
