I’m hopeful that the John Finch in this erased inscription in a copy of Quintus Curtius Rufus Cambridge University Library is the Sir John (1626-82) of Christ's College, where he is buried with his lifelong partner Sir Thomas Baines. Given in 1669 by Heneage Finch, to his brother John. (1/2)
