Indeed, in arxiv.org/abs/2408.15226 we take a different path, using a variant of Frenkl's integral representation of the relative entropy in terms of hockey-stick divergences due to Christoph Hirche. This also leads us to a provably tight bound on relative entropy difference.

New preprint in preparation for ISIT: With Oxana Shaya, "Partial orders and contraction for BISO channels" scirate.com/arxiv/2504.167… Within the BISO channels, the BEC/BSC are extremal in many ways. We extend this to further partial orders and show what role contraction plays.
