32x timelapse of a weak low-topped thunderstorm 40-50 miles southeast of Huntsville. Very dry air above ~650 mb was chewing up updrafts, limiting the intensity of showers/storms today, but this also caused photogenic towering cumulus around the city today.

Perhaps my favorite lightning shot of my photography career. Yesterday at 5am in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. #cawx #monsoon2025

A hole in one! In all my years of shooting storms in Rio Rico, I've never captured a strike deep within the Sonoita Creek wash area. This bolts last night struck right on the old golf course and when you zoom in you can even see upward leaders near the main strike! #azwx

Took my drone up to Monte Sano today to watch the sunset, and caught something interesting by chance. See that puff puff way off in the distance just after 0:15? That's the rocket testing over at the Arsenal. Look closely and you can see the fire!

Big-time CG flash in Tennessee last night with 6-7 ground terminations. This would have been a home run capture for me had the rain held off for 30 more seconds. Sound up!

My other CG capture from last night, this one not ruined by the rain. Single -10 kA stroke a little over 3 miles away. About a half hour south of Nashville.

A massive clear air bolt strikes below sea level in Badwater Basin as a rare, summer thunderstorm tracks through Death Valley. One of the most spectacular weather events I’ve ever experienced!

Julian Mille☈ "Fair use" is somewhat biased toward what the creator says it is. Everyone cribs on Fair Use to get away with whatever they want to. Point blank, if you're making piles of cash off of advertising, streaming, or subscriptions, and you use 30 seconds of my footage, for example, you

Comet Lemmon seen in Huntsville earlier this evening. Nowhere near as bright as Tsuchinshan-ATLAS or even Neowise, but can be easily spotted with a camera. 2000 ISO, 6-8s exposures. Bortle-4 sky.

Only saw one flash detected from this event so far on GLM and NLDN, this is probably it. -IC pulses detected right over a generating station; my guess is a self-initiated upward off a stack or maybe a turbine.
