8th graders had a creative week in our Makerspace that incorporated their current math unit with building 3D scale maps of a water park. Last visit to our Makerspace before going off to high school! So proud of my DPS innovators!

Fun Fact: I walked into my room & found this relic front & center! Then I found this paper⬇️in dusty file bin! I then asked my students if any knew what it was & only 1/38 did!🤔

After learning about the different types of clouds, 3rd graders learned how to find directions by playing with compasses. Next, they engineered working wind vanes so they could measure the wind direction in case storm clouds were coming! 🧭⛈
