Morning all hands meeting - we all need to cross train more so we can pick up slack since on any given day "it feels like" half the staff is out. Don't clean the air or anything folks, just cross train. Sure this will work

lehighvalleynews.com/environment-scโ€ฆ It's fine. We don't need birds anyway. Totally zero chance this goes human to human with any efficacy either ๐Ÿคก just don't look up. Or down. Or left or right for that matter. In fact, let's just all agree to not look anywhere.

Just so we're clear. If there was actually a "deep state" trump and elmo wouldn't be able to do an3 this damage to it....

Another desperate plea from management to clean the surfaces and doors in the lab to avoid the "a lot of" sickness that's going around. At least this time they mentioned n95s are in the supply room... Maybe we're learning?

Just got an email from a hospital system with fhe subject line of "why are heart attacks on the rise in young people?" And guess what. They fucking mentioned covid. Not before diabetes, family history, and racial disparities. But they fucking mentioned it!

It's time for our annual pathogen safety presentation and exam in lab! Wonder if this year they'll mention the c word... Betting not

Work just restocked masks in an effort to get the constant sickness rotation to end. Can't tell if that memo was an April fools joke or if they're starting to learn... Too bad they aren't enforcing usage or even encouraging it

Gotta say. It's been wild watching the right go so far right they went from free market absolutism to government control of markets.

Why is science funding important? This is why. Giving this child a chance at life. Rare diseases and custom therapeutic design isn't profitable. That's why federal funding is so important and this is what we're throwing away. nytimes.com/2025/05/15/heaโ€ฆ

Co-worker unprompted talking about how their multiple coldemort infections have left them feeling "dumber". Others agree, someone even says " yeah it seems like every day we're finding out it does more damage than we knew" Me: Staring at everyone's bare face...

"masking doesn't work and you're increasing rare" That's why 3 additional people in my lab have started wearing a mask every day since the winter and still are today ... Y'all, some people are noticing who's sick and who isn't still.

Chris (@chrisms150) 's Twitter Profile Photo

It's August and the lab management just said "thanks to everyone being flexible we know there's a lot of sickness going around" .... Maybe ... Maybe that's normal y'all
