I left school in 1969 and that speech applies as much then as now, the advantage I had is there were many jobs & apprenticeships for sixteen year olds, but I remember how unprepared I was for the world of work/life & what other avenues there were.

Desperate to find a supposedly positive benefit, makes barely any benefit to our GDP if they are able to sell it, which has been a problem. The biggest benefit would be rejoining EU, massive boost for GDP, Taxes, Jobs and Employment
