TROPICS - Friday Night: #PTC9 has not yet formed a concise area of low pressure, which could cause additional adjustments in the forecast track! Recent trends are beginning to stray away from a landfall by midweek due to a weaker influence from our upper-level low. #SCWX #Tropics

TOP 3 IMPACTS: #PTC9 will become better organized as it lifts northward towards the Lowcountry, bringing a risk of heavy rainfall, strong wind gusts and coastal impacts. Fluctuations in the forecast can, and will, occur as forecast models begin to align. #Tropics #SCWX

Here's the latest track of what will become Imelda. Models this morning tend to keep the storm offshore and slow down the speed. Humberto could pull this system east, which could prevent the system from moving onshore. Heavy rain, storm surge and high wind are all still possible.

There has been a shift east with computer guidance this morning. However, many models show the system slowing down before being pulled east due to Humberto early next week. Regardless if the system makes landfall or not, we still have a potential to see heavy rain and gusty wind.

Tropical Depression 9 will likely become Tropical Storm Imelda this weekend. With Humberto expected to be a strong hurricane & the upper level low weakening, am models keep the system offshore. How close it gets along with the speed will determine our impacts on Monday/Tuesday.

Tropical Depression Nine will become Tropical Storm Imelda today. Model guidance continues to show a sharp easterly turn prior to moving into our area. We will still feel some impacts from this system Mon/Tue, but far less significant compared to a direct landfall.

FIRST ALERT: Very low impacts from Imelda! Thankfully, we expect Tropical Storm Imelda to begin a sharp turn to the east in about 24 hours, leading the storm to pass well offshore. Imelda will bring the chance of scattered rain and breezy conditions for the next 24 hours.

A Rare Event! Two tropical systems so close together. You don't see this too often. Thanks to Humberto on the right... it will help pull Imelda on the left... out to sea! Good news for the east coast.

Melissa is tied for the third strongest storm in the Atlantic basin. The pressure of the system at landfall was 892 mb, which ties it as the strongest landfalling storm on record in the Atlantic basin. It's the first category 5 storm to make landfall in the Atlantic this decade.

A few spotty showers will be possible overnight thanks to an approaching system. Most of the rain will remain to our north across Gerogia and the Carolinas.

The coldest air of the season is on the way! We are forecasting the wind chill to drop into the 20s tonight. If the wind chill at JAX reaches 20 degrees, the day would likely end up in the 10 coldest on record in the month of November, and the coldest since Nov. 19, 2014.
