21/4/24 Teesdale - The earliest Spring #Gentians (Gentiana verna) are starting to appear and they are indescribably wonderful. There’s not much else out in Teesdale - as you’d expect for mid-April - but I did wonder what I’d see, given how early the #orchids are #wildflowerhour

I love the mix of Woodland Early Purple Orchids and Bluebells , personally I think a classic combination Hilcot Gloucestershire this morning

The Herb Paris at Hilcot Gloucestershire is looking stunning especially mixed in with the Bluebells wildflowerhour

Other flavours were also available. 😉

My first British orchid of the year yesterday was… Lady Orchid. Definitely unexpected in the woods - I thought I’d see Early Purples amid the English Bluebells first.
