Today is the day! The inaugural Melbourne Emerging Leaders in Biomedical Research Symposium! Looking forward to a day of thought provoking science 👩🏼🔬 Melbourne Emerging Leaders in Biomedical Research Peter Mac Postdoc Society (PMPS) Melbourne Academic Centre for Health #postdocs #postdocsymposium #mels2023

Thrilled to see our vision of an EMCR society within Melbourne begin to flourish at our inaugural event. Thanks to the Melbourne Emerging Leaders in Biomedical Research committee for making it happen. Legends!

Incredible turnout for our first EMCR event Melbourne Emerging Leaders in Biomedical Research #MELS2023 Thanks to our amazing speakers, generous sponsors and everyone who came along

WHY do so many people carry this MLKL polymorphism?!🧐 Heart-felt thanks to the brilliant Sarah Garnish, Kate Martin, Maria Kauppi, James Murphy and lab, WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute), NHMRC and many more for indulging this burning question over many years. 🔥😅👏 rdcu.be/dndm8

Awesome to see this story out! Congrats Yanxiang Meng and Sarah Garnish for steering the ship on this project. Was nice to contribute

Fantastic work Michael Currie, @_jamesdavies, Rachel North and Dobson Lab 💪

A mammoth and incredibly important piece of work for the field. Top stuff Shene Chiou, Aysha Al-Ani Andre Samson 🔬

Biomolecular Horizons 2024. Join this amazing line up of speakers. Abstracts due 12 March 2024. bmh2024.com/call-for-abstr… . Biomolecular Horizons 2024, a joint conference of @IUBMB, #FAOBMB & #ComBio in Melbourne 22-26 September 2024.

Incredibly relieved, overwhelmed and grateful to be awarded an NHMRC EL1 Fellowship to accelerate my work on calcium signalling and kinase regulation Huge thanks to my mentor James Murphy and all the other legends for their support WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute), Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Dobson Lab

Hot off the press! 🔥 In our latest Nature Communications paper, we used in vivo imaging to track EV formation in the bone marrow microenvironment. We found that circulating EVs correlates with tissue damage caused by leukemias like AML! WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute) La Trobe University Australasian Cell Death Society

Check out our latest from WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute) A joint effort with James Vince’s lab and our RMH colleagues. Super proud of this epic built on ~1100 western blots. Full credit to the leads, Jiyi Pang and Aysha Al-Ani, our collaborators, and my coconspirators including Andre Samson

Very proud & excited to be socialising our preprint uncovering new mechanisms of epithelial cell death in IBD! Massive 4-year collab across WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute) & @RMH. Big thanks to the patients involved in this study and support from @NHMRC & Kenneth Rainin Foundation biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Glad to see this out😄 With Wayne Cawthorne, Andre Samson & James Murphy Looking forward to seeing more discoveries of how PTMs regulate protein shapeshifting during necroptotic cell death ☠️ Check it out here 👇 doi.org/10.1016/j.tibs…

Glad to share my cover art for the Feb 2025 issue of Trends in Biochemical Sciences. Check out our review in "Protein shapeshifting in necroptotic cell death signalling" with James Murphy Andre Samson and Wayne Cawthorne cell.com/trends/biochem…
