This is incredible. People can mix in their thousands at indoor concerts in the new tier 2 but only one household in a hotel or restaurant. Hospitality essentailly stays in lockdown while the rest of economy opens up. Baffling.

A good Restart Scheme would be to RESTART all the existing businesses which are shut and allow all of them to open fully - before they go bust thanks to lockdowns, so close down, and make their staff redundant - adding to the unemployed.

Food with purpose! Come on a trip to see another reason why food is at the centre of what we do. The best people, serving the best food and having the most fun..... it in our DNA. linkedin.com/posts/the-genu…

What soul-destroying news for all those hospitality businesses in Tiers Two and Three. The absence of logic, equity and humanity is breathtaking. Hospitality Action will do our best to provide support to as many hospitality households as we can ... #wevegotyou

The question I am being asked the most and which I'm struggling to answer: how can you end a 4 week lockdown where hospitality was fully closed in a worse place in terms of restrictions than before it?

A solo lunch in my favourite cafe in London, Ginos. If you're in the Marylebone area, be sure to drop by. Sad to see it so empty on a Thursday lunchtime. They've had to let some staff go. For all the grand debates, it's places like this that are really struggling.

It’s important that our workplaces are exciting and welcoming places. They should help develop cultures, collaboration and fun. We are seeing a lot of new clients looking at enhancing workplace for employee return. #wfm #backtooffice #training #culture #development #bestpeople

The most important studies of mental health show relationships are what make us happy. Lockdowns and restrictions are eviscerating the social lives of 67m people month after month. SAGE and govt should be promoting good health and welfare - not smashing it.

Really feel for the hospitality industry and those that work in it. They’ve done so much to ensure hygiene and safety is paramount, to the extent that the data suggests it’s not a high risk space, and now they have to close, yet again. Brutal. Really brutal.

Plan B . Boris is mental. Work from home but you can go to Night clubs and Football matches if you are double vax. The man must go. Correct me if I am wrong but I have not heard of any one who had to go to hospital with this new strain let alone die. Small BIZ will collapse.

I had no idea that going to a office was so dangerous! Pubs, clubs, restaurants and shops much safer….! Once again the whole hospitality industry in for a terrible fight to survive!!
