A2 You can use email or social media after an event to highlight and amplify the contributions of team members. Gratitude for work through words and actions (Sugarwish) are things I like to do #JHMChat

A4: Look at gender balance of invited speakers, avoid manels, consider a mentored talk for someone early in career with a member of the organization hosting the event #JHMChat

Today is bittersweet as I completed my final day at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. UT will always hold a special place in my heart. It has been a true honor to serve the patients of Memphis. Now starts my new adventure as Associate Dean of Student Affairs at USF Health Medicine

It is not lost on me what a privilege it is to hold the Assoc. Dean position so early in my career. I am humbled to be achieving things I only dreamed of as a young, shy kid from Augusta, GA 🥺Thank you to my mentors Eva Aagaard & Daniella Zipkin, MD for helping me get here.

A3 While not formal, I definitely tried to check in with academic and clinical mentors every 3 months. One hard balance as a new attending was avoiding overloading myself with feedback to the point of being overwhelmed instead of empowered #JHMChat

A4: I tried to remember that progress is more important than perfection. I also tried to celebrate small wins, whether my own or those of mentees. I also leaned into my mentors for advice on difficult patient outcomes or avoiding academic landmines early. #JHMChat
