Football is back!⚽️ It’s game day which sees both the 1st and Reserve teams in action for their opening friendlies of pre season. It should be a good run out for all involved, getting some well needed minutes in the tank🔵⚫️ #blueandblackattack

Due to a cancellation we are looking for a friendly this Saturday 12th july for Pennington Football Club Reserves. Our pitch and referee is all sorted just need someone to play. Lancs Friendlies

The reserves battled out a tough 2-1 victory tonight with a last gasp free kick from Lee Gregory to win it! Jean Khasa picked up the MOTM with a solid display at the heart of the defence! Onto Saturday where we have a double header at JP🔵⚫️ #blueandblackattack

A Gregg Travers brace allowed Pennington Football Club to enjoy an excellent afternoon vs. Springhead. North Walkden FC also experienced home joy vs. Royton Town but Horwich RMI AFC were hammered by Uppermill.

Old Boltonians AFC staged a remarkable comeback from 4-1 down to beat Golborne Sports Reserves 5-4 and HorwichStMarysJFC along with Pennington Football Club Reserves also made it through to the next stage to be played later in October.

Little Lever SC got the better of Roose Cons thanks to second half strikes from Finlay Corbett and Jordan Monthe whilst Pennington Football Club Reserves eliminated Astley & Tyldesley FC with four different scorers at Jubilee Park. The second teams of A&T and Stoneclough FC were knocked out via spot kicks.

Our three goalscorers last night - Jordan Hulme, Rio Clegg and Mikey Afuye all started their football journeys in local amateur football, all paying subs and all having to put the nets up. Don’t turn your nose up at playing men’s football, go and get games under your belt…
