Very grateful that Dana-Farber’s Center for BRCA and Related Genes in collaboration with the UT Health San Antonio has been awarded a $3M program project grant from the National Cancer Institute. Honored to lead the research under the new grant with Dr. Panagiotis (Panos) Konstantinopoulos.

Out in nature today! We report that a CDK5-cyclin B1 complex maintains proper cell division. We discovered that CDK5, a long regarded non-cell cycle CDK functioning only in neurons, yet overexpressed in many cancers, does regulate mitosis!  Link: nature.com/articles/s4158…
