On 24 September, I participated in JurongHealth Campus's 'Fundamentals of Coaching Workshop'. Key lessons learned included the need for reciprocal commitment, active listening, and a willingness to adapt.

'I came, I taught & I learnt' I am glad to join as teaching faculty at this time-tested, well organised hernia essentials workshop held under the auspices of the Asia Pacific Hernia Society. One has walked away a wiser man with tricks & tips on this procedure.

12 October. Saturday morning. Delivered a public talk on colorectal cancer to my secondary school alumni. Engaging audience with avid discussion.

16 to 17 January 2025. "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People Workshop". An intensive two-day program featuring interactive, in-depth discussions and exercises. Although I had read this classic business text previously, numerous profound insights were gained.

The 'International Colorectal Disease Symposium', organised by Cleveland Clinic Florida, held from 13 to 15 February 2025. Excellent program as always. Dr. Steve Wexner is commended for his tireless efforts in organising this highly educational event for three decades.

22 March. Community outreach project with fellow colorectal surgeons, dietitian & gastroenterlogist on digestive health at JurongHealthCampus. A good turnout thanks to the collaborative effort of many teams!

In May this year, I joined the International Complex Pelvic Surgery Masterclass at the ZhongShan Sixth Affliated Hospital in Guangzhou, China. This morning, I re-visited these fellow colorectal surgeons. I am inspired by their humility, innovative culture & surgical excellence.

Visited the newly opened Shenzhen TCM Anorectal Hospital, China. which was hosted by Professor Shao WanJin, a pioneer in complex pelvic floor disease. His new book on complex anal fistula redefines classification by MRI. I look forward to reading it
