I’d wanted to do a dumb little Jimmy Jr dance in the vein of Tammy’s one I did, but it needed the right song. Then this absolute banger called “The Spark” from these Irish kids “Kabin Crew” came along I knew it was the one. 300+ drawings later, here we are.

For once, I saved my process as a little peek behind the curtain. From rough thumb blocking the movement through to final colour (only on Jimmy Jr). This took a few weeks of evenings and weekends to work up 14 seconds of animation. but I’m so pleased with how it turned out.

It’s Deadpool, but on a Belcher budget. A reason I love doing these dance sequences is because in real life I have zero dance skills or coordination, so getting to flex my dancing muscles while learning more animation techniques is a lovely bonus.
