Sometimes you have to shake the table (for #youth). 🌪️⁠ ⁠ Youth in action 🏋🏽‍♀️ kicked off today, in 📍Larnaca, Cyprus 🇨🇾. We started with teambuilding sports activities which introduced ENGSO Youth, and the upcoming activity to the participants. #eyfcoe

Do young people have space, opportunity and support for youth participation in sport organisations? 🤔⁠ ⁠ On day two of the Youth in Action 🏋🏼‍♀️ international activitiy, we continuined with the topic of youth participation based on human rights approach. #eyfcoe Council of Europe

We touched the sport governance, and discussed what makes it good governance 👍🏾, and introduced the topic of youth mechanisms and programmes. Each partcipant shared their experience on youth participation 📣 within the organisations they are representing. ⁠ #youthsport ⁠

Let’s talk about advocacy. 💬 Day three kicked off with outdoor and indoors sessions 🤸🏾‍♀️ putting advocacy on the table. We discussed how advocacy 📣 works, what tools and mechanisms are avaialble and what is the strategy that works.

In the afternoon, we drove to Nicosia, to be exact 👉🏽 to the Home for Cooperation, to meet Stephanie and her organisation United Sports Cyprus. Youth in action is funded by Council of Europe through European Youth Foundation. #eyfcoe

Day 4 was dedicated to strategising and developing (effective) mechanisms ⚙️ for youth participation within sport organisations. Participants focused on crafting systems that would open to space 🚀 for young people to contribute to sport organisations as decision-makers. #eyfcoe

In the afternoon, we put the work aside and enjoyed meeting each others traditions and customs through food, dance 💃🕺🏾 and intercultural exchange. Youth in action is funded by Council of Europe through European Youth Foundation. #eyfcoe

Day 5: learnings and experiences the partcipants 🥇 have gained over the past four days were used to develop a proposal for a new youth partcipation mechanism👉🏾 from national sport NGO to European sport federation. Activity was funded by Council of Europe through European Youth Foundation.
