Penguin publishing house @VintageBooks will publish Alexei @Navalny’s memoir, PATRIOT, on 22 October 2024. Begun shortly after his poisoning, this is the full story of #Navalny’s life and a rousing call to continue the work for which he sacrificed his life.

1/5 Вообще совсем не так я представляла, как Алексей будет писать свою биографию. Думала, что нам будет уже лет под 80, он будет чинно сидеть за компьютером у открытого окна и печатать. А я буду ходить вокруг и ворчать, что скоро приедут внуки, а он занимается ерундой.

2/5 Но после попытки отравления в 2020 все говорили: «Алексей, ты должен написать книгу». А он отмахивался. Ну какая биография в 44 года? Прошло же только чуть больше половины жизни. Он и не торопился особо - ведь столько ещё впереди.

3/5 А все получилось так, как получилось. Ужасно и очень-очень несправедливо. Оказалось, что не было никакой другой половины впереди.

4/5 Тем не менее писать книгу тогда Алексей все же начал и неожиданно быстро втянулся. Ему нравилось вспоминать события своей жизни в связи с событиями в стране. Например, он с удовольствием описывал свое детство.

5/5 Но не буду забегать вперед. Вы скоро все сами прочитаете. 22 октября выйдет биография Алексея одновременно на многих языках. Она уже переведена на 11, и предзаказ на них доступен с сегодняшнего дня. На русском она тоже обязательно выйдет.
