Benue is bleeding!!! For a state that is supposed to be the food basket of the nation it isn’t supposed to be so! Our leaders have failed us! The SGF of Nigeria is from Benue, yet we can’t get federal intervention, all our governor knows how to say is;

Yesterday it was Plateau, today it is Benue, tomorrow it's coming for all us. This is not the time for photo ops or to Kiki with this administration. We need accountability. We need answers. #StopBenueGenocide #StopBenueKillings

This isn’t the time to be wishy-washy with this administration (there’s never a time just so we’re clear) when we can see how they don’t value human lives and from the moment he was illegally installed we’ve had our collective lives get harder. We need to stand on something.

Literally from his first day, this man raised fuel prices to ridiculous heights with a careless statement. There were no quick remedies. We just… adjusted. Same with food prices and inflation… adjustment. We can’t adjust to being killed.

These senseless massacres have been ongoing for over seven years. You know what they have in common, a lack of accountability by Nigerian leaders and the entire country "moving on" faster than the blood has dried on the ground.

You may want to log out for your mental health and that’s valid but the dead don’t have the luxury of ‘protecting their mental health’. The woman with 5 dead kids doesn’t have the option to look away. Please stay and add your voice.

Also, not every object is made for display to the public. Respecting the customs of a people supercede the museum's function as an exhibiting entity. That is ethical museology. Western museums might not care because, to them, African artefacts remain objects of "public" ogling.

The same country that singled I and another Nigerian at a layover in Adis Ababa because we were visibly "African" on suspicions and let every other white person from the plane go. Because we were Nigerians coming from Brasil.
