The New finance goal is now agreed at #COP29! It reflects the contestations in the current world. However, the #ClimateCrisis which vulnerable countries did not cause, is placed on a political weighing beam ACT Alliance Voices For Just Climate Action

Critical elements remain concerning: No mobilization goal of 1.3 T as developing countries asked, but a global climate finance flows ( public and private)l by all actors - no differentiation

On a sad note a new accounting practice is introduced. It makes achieving the USD 300 easy by counting finances that already exist or require repackaging. To this end the real value of the goal until 2035 is less than USD 100B and the rest is easy to raise. It is not ambitious.
