Proud to speak at the GEN EGG Virtual Forum yesterday with Australia’s next generation of egg farmers. We discussed the threat of H5 high pathogenicity avian influenza & the vital role farmers play in keeping Australia disease-free.

Australia is taking a major step in public health. Legislation to establish the Australian CDC has been introduced — the agency will strengthen disease prevention and preparedness!

My office met with Dr Abrao Pereira from University of Timor-Leste Lorosae as part of the Pacific Paraveterinary Partnerships project. Together we’re strengthening paraveterinary training in Timor-Leste to boost livestock productivity & regional biosecurity.

Last week was the 2025 Northern Australia Indigenous Ranger Biosecurity Forum! Indigenous Rangers help protect Australia’s $93+ billion agriculture. Last week they came together with government agencies to share knowledge, celebrate achievements and build networks.
