Congrats to Capt. Moser & Engineer Garvey, recipients of the “Meritorious Company Award” for their rapid response on scene. Truck 8 responded to a medical that turned out to be a burn victim. Quickly adapting, and rescuing the victim prevented further injury. Chief Karl Lieb, SLC Fire Salt Lake City Fire Department
I had the honor of recognizing Salt Lake City Fire Department Engine 13B and Salt Lake City Police Department officers for their coordination and partnership. On a challenging EMS call, these individuals worked together to provide patients the greatest chance for survival. Thanks Chief Mike Brown for joining me. 📷: SLCPD
Today, it was my privilege to deliver to Catholic Community Services the proceeds of Salt Lake City Fire Department’s annual holiday fundraiser. Thank you to Catholic Community Services of Utah for serving our neighbors who need some extra help this holiday season and all year round.
This week, I shared with Salt Lake City Fire Department employees our annual State of the Department. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished so far and excited about our goals for 2023. This is an opportunity for our workforce to come together, to discuss our achievements and challenges. Thank you all
It’s a bittersweet day for Salt Lake City Fire Department as we bid farewell to Capt Joe Bush, retiring after 31 years of service. “No matter our differences, we’re all a family!” Capt Bush said today and I couldn’t have said it better myself. Congratulations and thank you for your service.
Today, I am glad to have had the opportunity to recognize Salt Lake City Fire Department members for their distinguished service in response. #SLC is made better by those who prioritize their mission of service. Thank you!
From a robust storm water system, to debris basins and the addition of Little Dell reservoir, #SLC and our flood control partners, including Salt Lake County, have been preparing for decades to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents in high snowpack years like this one.
Earlier this week, I had the privilege of recognizing Salt Lake City Fire Department Battalion Chief Karl Steadman. BC Steadman’s incident command skills are some of the best. It was great to honor his contributions to last fall’s 5-alarm Sugar House fire. Thanks Karl for all you do for us!
🍀 Feeling the luck of the Irish today as I join the St. Patrick’s Day Parade! 🚒🔥 Salt Lake City Fire Department lighting the parade route with Truck 2 and Medic Engine 3.
